8年前我開始接觸攝影，猜想或許在我退休後可以成為不錯的嗜好；但很快它就超越了嗜好，讓我熱情洋溢。孩提時，繪畫曾是我的最愛，後來因為工作之故不得不將它割捨；但自從我開始把玩數位技術後，發現好像又以另一種形式重拾心愛的畫筆了。從此我投入越多，越能感覺攝影的博大精深。我喜歡當個攝影的業餘愛好者，意味有無限大的自由可以揮灑。藝術攝影是我目前的重心。
一切「律動」和「光」都讓我著迷，特別是明暗間的對比。這或許出於懷舊心情，年輕時我曾如此著迷於荷蘭巨匠們畫作中的光影變化。如今峇里島上的光又為我的生命開啟一個新的篇章，部分系列作品中，我選擇無視陰影，專注捕捉這座眾神之島上的美麗以及它那令人眩目的通透澄靜。

戴百時先生 簡介:

1979 因工作因素移居台北
2005 生日禮物收到第一台數位相機, 開啟了我的攝影嗜好
2007 在我發現”光”的峇里島 蒼谷 建築莊園

Playing With Light 
8 years ago I decided that photography could be a nice hobby for my retirement but it becomes very quickly a passion. I loved drawing since childhood; but my professional career has pretty much kept me away from it. I was so surprised by the ease of playing with digital technology that I started to “draw” again. Since then I enjoy so much exploring its endless possibilities. Loving the amateur status which allows me a total freedom, I focus in art photo. 
I was fascinated by “Movement” and “Light”, especially the Clair/Obscure; probably a reminiscence of my youth and the light so exquisitely expressed by the Flemish and Dutch painters. Then I discovered the Balinese light which opens a new chapter to me. Here in some series, I forget the shadow and I try to catch the beauty and the dazzled transparency of the land of the gods. 

Patrice Delmotte Resume :
- Born in June 1951, in Roubaix, an industrial city in North of France.
- Grow up, go to college and work there until January 1979 where I moved to Taipei, Taiwan, for professional reason.
- Receive my first digital camera in 2005 as a birthday present, which initiates my photographic hobby.
- Build a villa in Canggu in 2007 where I discover the Balinese light.
